(Sesamum Indicum)

Sesame seed oil is a fine, yellow oil, rich in vitamins, minerals and lecithin. It contains natural antioxidants and is very stable, giving it an excellent shelf life (used by date). Used on babies it may relieve nappy rash as it contains anti-inflammatory properties. It is suitable for all skin types. Useful for the prevention of stretch marks... great for pregnant mums too! Sesame oil is easily absorbed and naturally contains vitamins A, B and E and minerals such as iron and calcium. This oil is used in traditional countries such as India, who have practised massaging their babies on a daily basis for hundreds of years. Sesame oil also contains other properties such as anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. Completely safe and edible.

Shelf life: 6 months to 1 year.
Storage: out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. Can be refrigerated upon opening.
Note: if in doubt about any skin sensitivities your baby may have, please perform a patch test by placing a small amount of oil on the inside of your baby's forearm. Wait 24 hrs. Any sensitivity eg redness, will usually present itself within this time. Wash the skin with warm, soapy water.

SWEET ALMOND OIL, cold pressed
(Prunus amygdalus dulcis)

When only the best will do for your baby! Sweet almond oil is a wonderful oil to massage your baby with; it contains moisturising properties, as well as natural vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and E. Sweet Almond oil won't block the pores in your skin like mineral oil (commonly known as 'baby oil'), instead it will nourish and protect your baby's skin, leaving it soft and supple and is an excellent emollient. It is very good for dry, chapped skin and is slow to go rancid, making it a good stable oil. Sweet Almond oil is good for soothing inflammation and for relieving itching due to dry skin conditions. As it is a slightly thicker oil than other vegetable oils, it can take longer to absorb thus making it great for protection against water loss from the skin. Sweet almond oil used alone is a wonderful oil to use on your baby for a full body massage - you needn't worry if your baby puts his/her hands into their mouth as this oil is completely safe and edible.

MARULA OIL, cold pressed

"For centuries, indigenous women in the rural areas of Namibia have cracked the nut of the marula fruit to extract the kernels from which marula oil is made, an oil with highly regarded healing properties" Light Years IP

The marula tree is indigenous to South Africa and traditionally used as a massage oil, although quite thick in texture and comparable with Sweet Almond oil. The highly precious "miracle" oil is extracted from the seed and is very effective for dry, flaky skin and has superiour moisturising properties. Marula oil is highly stable, meaning won't go rancid ("off") quickly and is highly nutritional for the skin, hence it's renowned healing properties. Marula oil will assist skin hydration, smoothness and reduce redness and is rich in proteins, minerals and anti-oxidants. Recommended as a 'specialty oil' to be used in a blend with other massage oils, for example, Sweet Almond oil. It can be used directly on your baby's skin in problem areas such as acute dryness or redness.

Massage oil blends using any Idibidi Kids massage oil with the addition of Marula oil can be made on request. Suitable for your precious newborn, child's skin or for yourself.

Marula oil is wonderful for dry, brittle hair - perfect for those split ends as an intensive nourishing moisturiser! It is truly liquid gold and one of nature's best kept secrets.
