What physiotherapists think about infant massage
Ref: IAIM Annual Conference 2004
“Touch is a powerful communication
tool between mother and baby. A
happy, relaxed, loved baby exudes
love in return . A mother who feels
loved and nurtured will be in the best
of health!”
Tracey, Senior Maternity Physiotherapist
“Familiarity with muscle tone, what is
normal for the child is great. If the
baby is in pain you may get rigidity.
Massage may alleviate this”
Caroline, Gynaecology Physiotherapist

Parent Workshops - G.U.E.S.S !
Have you ever thought...
I am a first time parent in need of some advice about parenting...
We have a large 'gap' between children, so a 'parent refresher' would be great!
My baby seems to cry all the time, is this normal?
I would like some tips on how to settle our baby and to help him to sleep!
What is my baby trying to tell me?
Natalie offers parents G.U.E.S.S, which stands for Guidance,
Understanding, Education, Support Service parent workshops in Perth, West Australia. Gather a group together or book a one-to-one in your home... the choice is yours. Fathers are encouraged to attend.
Increase your confidence as a parent, learn to understand your baby's needs, temperament and personality, learn useful settling strategies, understand and know how to respond to your baby's body language (what they are trying to tell you!) and know what to expect developmentally in this much needed workshop for parents, whether you are first-timers or looking for a refresher with up-to-date information.
